Overview: Participants will define deficit narratives by reflecting on our work with students and parents; examine the implicit and explicit dialog occurring at the school community and understand how to become allies to dismantle deficit narratives.

- Participants will define deficit narratives
- Define the effects in the classroom and in our school community.
- We will spend time identifying resources to build a school community that actively disrupts narratives that hinder a safe culture and climate
- Build a plan to support an inclusive school.
